x3oCSS VS. Week 3 VS. Eximius & Furia

Posted By: Conflict | On January 26, 2008 - 1:12am |

Tonight, Team X3O will be playing Eximius Sports formally known as Luck and the CGS Franchise Mexico City Furia.

The team, led by Jon “messiah” Hammond, was able to establish a better reputation for Eximius Sports after murdering Team XFX with a score of 10-5. Although the organization is known for destroying CEVO-P teams, it seems like this new Source team they acquired will be staying in this league for a long time. With awesome rifling by messiah and hare and great usage of the awp by allbrook, this team will be tough to handle. However, they does not seem to acquire that type of level to be able to compete with CGS franchises as they loss to both Pandemic and Devastation, formally known as Turmoil. It will take more than just skills to take on CGS teams.

Record x3o (1-4)
Record Eximius Sports (3-2)
Record Mexico City Furia (1-5)

However, it seems like some of the CGS teams will not be as much of a challenge. CGS Franchise Mexico City Furia have been winless so far. Formerly known as Art of War, they formed for the CGS Combine and were underrated. However, they proved everyone wrong as they became the Furia. They would then go to the CGS World Finals where they would lose to Berlin Allianz in Quarter Finals. Recently, they have just entered into CEVO Season 5, but so far they haven’t been able get a win. They did, however, seem to be getting close matches and it could be a possibility where they could actually win a match or two. Overall, this will greatly help them prepare for the upcoming CGS Season where the wins really matter.

With that said, X3O will also need to step up as well. Going into the season winless will not prove anything to the Source community. They will need to step up their game and work more on their timing and teamwork. They will need to pick players off one by one with de_inferno being a CT-Sided map. They are very good individually but without teamwork they will not be able to get anything together. Without this, team X3O will have a hard time playing against Eximius Sports and even Mexico City Furia.

This match will also feature the debut of two new players under the x3o name. Todd "anger" Williams will be playing in his first match as an official x3o start tonight. Todd recently joined to replace former player, Charlie "cbz" Pyo. In addition to Todd, Mason "mason" Dickens will also be playing in tonight's matches for Erik "da bears" Stromberg. Mason has been practicing with the team the past week, and is a strong candidate to become a permanent member of Team X3O.

Update: Erik "da bears" Stromberg played for Todd "anger" Williams in both of tonight's matches.
