X3O Gaming Center is proud to announce the 2008 Dust-Off Championships. This series of gaming tournaments will be played at X3O Gaming Center in Rockville, MD and will feature over 400 players competing in Counter-Strike 1.6. With over $20,000 dollars in cash prizes in addition to sponsored product prizes, X3O is making history for a second year in a row hosting the largest ever LAN Gaming Center organized and executed tournament. 2008 Dust-Off Championships Qualifiers
The qualifier tournaments are great opportunities to compete, win great prizes, and earn a spot in the Championship Finals. Each qualifier tournament will be two day, sixteen team max event with a $2,500 cash purse in addition to prizes. Day one will consist of round-robin group play, with the top two teams advancing from each group. Outside of winning more money, participating in the qualifier tournaments will earn you a higher seed in later events, including the Championship Finals.
2008 Dust-Off Championship Finals
The championship finals will be open to ALL teams and will have a 32 Team Max, however participation and performance in the Qualifier Tournaments may result in higher seeding. This event will span three days, with the first two days each consisting of round-robin group play, four groups per day. Only one team from each group will advance to day three. The first place finishers from each of the qualifier tournaments will receive an auto-berth to day three-round 2 of the Championship Finals.
Registration
Each event will have early, pre, and late registration period that will be $30.00, $35.00, and $45.00 USD respectively, per player. You are strongly encouraged to register and pre-pay as early as possible. All teams must have at least 3/5 players registered and pre-paid by each event's registration deadline, or they will NOT be able to compete at the event. There are no exceptions to the registration price or deadline. Registration links for each event will be available as dates are confirmed.

Additional Information from Tournament Director
- CONFIRMED dates are NOT subject to change. UNCONFIRMED dates are subject to change based on conflicts with other events. We will work to CONFIRM dates as early as possible, though we will try to work with other event organizers as necessary.
- For all tournament qualifiers, Day 1 group play will start at 9:00AM. All teams must assume that they MAY be required to play at 9:00AM. Day 2 double elimination will start at 9:00AM. All teams must assume that they MAY be required to play at 9:00AM.
- For the championship finals, Day 1, 2, 3 will start at 9:00AM. All teams must assume that they may be required to play on Friday, Day 1 Group Play of the tournament.
- All players are required to bring their own Keyboard, Mouse, Mousepad, Headset. There will be NO EQUIPMENT available for rent or to borrow - however there will be equipment available to PURCHASE.
- Prize Payout: Cash prizes will be awarded in individual payments sent via Pay-Pal to each player, within one week of the events completion.
- Event Coverage: We are working out coverage details now. There will be online brackets, match scores, Live HLTV and Demo downloads. We are finalizing plans now for live video broadcast from the venue through the X3O Broadcast Network.
- All refund requests for registration fees MUST be made by the events posted REGISTRATION DEADLINE. No refunds will be given after the events registration deadline.
