Team X3O Counter-Strike 1.6 competes at Kode5 USA Finals!

Team X3O has qualified to compete in the Kode5 USA Finals next week at the 2008 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. They will be competing as one of the top 4 Counter-Strike 1.6 teams for their chance to represent the United States later this year. X3O is coming into this event off of 3 back to back wins in December 2007: CEVO-Professional Season 7, Steel Series: King of the Hill 1, and the CPL Winter 2007 Championships.

We are exciting about the competition and are looking forward to showing again that we are the best team in the country. As some of you may know, there has been a small change in the roster that took place just yesterday. Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert will no longer be playing for X3O at the event or future events. The roster for the event will be:

The year 2008 is finally upon us. To kick things off right for e-sports fans, KODE5 is bringing the Global Gaming Revolution to the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, at the Cooler Master booth, the top 4 Counter-Strike 1.6 teams in North America will collide for one final battle. In front of thousands of showgoers and thousands at home watching GotFrag TV on the Internet, KODE5 USA’s 2007 representative will finally emerge to represent the USA at the KODE5 Global Finals. With Global Supporters Cooler Master, GIGABYTE, and Corsair Memory, the KODE5 Global Gaming Revolution brings competitive gaming to the forefront with events in 16 countries across the globe.

The KODE5 USA Finals will be played out in a single elimination, best of 3 map format, with the final match going to best of 3. Seeding will be determined by KODE5 officials and announced on KODE5’s official website (http://www.kode5.com). A preliminary match schedule follows:
