x3o CSS on SourceRankings.com
Posted By: NickFitz | On April 15, 2008 - 7:58am || SourceRankings.com launched earlier this week, as the Counter-Strike Source community’s first independent team ranking system. There are two complete rankings on the site: Invitational and Community. The invitational rankings are voted on by key industry leaders, community figures, and the top teams in the country. The community rankings are voted by you, the community. Support Team x3o CSS by voting for us EVERY WEEK in the community poll. |

About Source Rankings
Source Rankings brings together some of the best minds in the eSports community to cast their vote in our weekly organized voting system. Because of our idea to bring closed and open polls to the North American Counter-Strike: Source community, everyone is given the chance to voice their opinion, forcing teams to rise and fall throughout each week. With the release of such an improvement in our industries’ ranking capabilities, eSports has begun a new chapter in our journey to bringing it to become an actual sport.
Source Rankings is excited to have the opportunity to be supported by some of the most recognized names in eSports, including The CGS franchises and their General Managers, professional CS:S organizations, and the most reliable news resource sites available.
Voting Polls
Source Rankings consists of two types of voting systems, a closed poll that is invite only, and an open poll that is community oriented. The invitation poll includes only the elite figures in eSports, whom have been handpicked to vote on their top fifteen North American Counter-Strike: Source teams.
Our open poll is powered by the opinions of the community, allowing everyone’s opinion to count.
Point System
Our point system is simple to follow, and is the same for both open and closed polls. Each team that receives a vote is awarded between 1-15 points in reverse order of the position they were voted at. (I.E. If a team receives a vote for the #1 position, they receive 15 points, however if someone is voted at the #15 position, they are awarded 1 point).
Nominations
Team nominations will be decided weekly, there are up to thirty teams that can make the ballot. However, not all thirty teams will be recognized as a top ranked team.
