Looks like I'm coming up on 2 months! I'd like to thank everyone for all the positive feedback and hits on each weekly blog, it really is cool to see that people are reading my thoughts ^________^.
Anywho, for this week I'd like to talk a bit about the other things in gaming besides CS 1.6 and the CoD series. Everyone knows that World of Warcraft is the #1 game internationally, blah blah blah. I get it, you've heard it 1,000,000,000,000,000 times before, and I'm not going to beat the last powder out of it anymore. However, facts are facts and the game is bigger than any fps we've ever seen. Sponsors are willing to put money and product into something that they know millions of people will be playing on a daily basis.
Which leads me into my next thing.
This weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) marks the beginning of Major League Gaming's 2009 Pro Circuit in Secaucus, New Jersey at the Meadowlands Expo Center. I'll be there on Friday and Saturday if anyone notices someone in an x3o jacket, so come up and say whats up. Anyways, while buying my ticket this past Sunday for the event I decided to do some research on the "pro" status teams (since the only team I remember was the old Final Boss when they were Team 3D), and I even checked out the Gamebattles ladder & Amateur bracket preview for the event for Halo 3. The numbers for Halo 3 alone, are ridiculous just to look at, and I can't even imagine how packed this place is going to be when I get there. In addition, this year MLG is using gow2 on the LAN circuit as well, so I look forward to seeing a lot of competition in the two days that I'm there.
Anyways, it's midnight and I have mid-terms tomorrow, catch you guys at MLG Meadowlands!
Good stuff Travis, have fun
