Yet again another week gone by, and another 501 must be done...
If you read my last blog which was posted last Thursday, I mentioned that I'd be attending the upcoming MLG event in Secaucus, New Jersey. Well, after taking an hour and a half on Friday to get there (I hate GPS' with the NJ Turnpike), I finally made it. In all honesty I expected to walk in and be intimidated by the size of the event to what it once was, but it really wasn't. I got to meet a lot of people, and I enjoyed every minute of my time spent last weekend.
Yet if there was one thing that bothered me more than the line at the MLG Store, was watching the amateur players have to go through playing split screen...
For both GoW2 and Halo3 due to a lack of stations set up, numerous teams had to play with split screen which made me think wtf? So many people traveled the United States to play in this tournament, and they play on split screen if they're not a pro-status team? That'd be like at x3o's events only having x3o, Gravitas, Winout, and any other ESEA-I/CEVO-P team play on crt and everyone else play on 15 inch 18ms lcd monitors. Now I know that the "pro" teams get all the luxuries of playing at these events, and I completely agree with giving them the main stage with all the flashy lights and all the jerseys, and blah blah blah. BUT MONITORS? C'mon...
I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and I'll see you next week!
