The 501 w/ Tripletwenty

^^ pretty sweet huh? Nothing like a Tripletwenty/goomba combo banner to bring in your 10th blog hehe. It's been a pretty eventful first 10 weeks and I'm going to take this time to reflect on the past events of x3o since I've joined (OH BOY RECAP TIME!)

When I came to x3o with longtime friend Justin Knutson, we had loads of ideas for content to produce, and although a lot of those things haven't come to fruition due to his absence, I still would like to thank Mr. Fitzsimmons for the opportunity to be a part of this great organization. x3o has changed quite a bit since early January and it's been one exciting ride.

We've seen our Call of Duty 4 team climb to the top of North America and all of a sudden go their separate ways in a matter of a month and a half, the loss of long time x3o.quake player and good friend David "icel0re" Ritson, and the release of a great player in Dan Mehler. Yet we've seen some new faces recently with the acquisition of Derek Boorn and Colin DeShong who both are already huge assets to x3o, and will continue to be in the future.

In addition we've all have had the privilege of watching the new CS team grow in leaps and bounds since early 2009. From their online regular season success, winning the 2008 x3o Winter Classic, playing in Hannover, Germany for the ESL Extreme Masters Final, finishing 2nd at KODE5 USA, and now being crowned CEVO-Professional Season 10 Champions. Congrats guys you deserve it.

Heh, there's been a lot of activity in the x3o reigns huh? Well from my aspect I think giving the staff (Chris, Andrew, Brett and maybe Nick :P) the usage of the word goomba, noobish (it's like Swedish, but a little less blonde), and NRd has made the most impact... hehe

I'd like to congratulate the CS team, Nick, and Colin yet again on last night's victory and hope to see the same for ESEA's Grand Final =D. Also, thanks to Tim for the banner :D

nice blog. can u clarify the official definitions of goomba and NRd?

goomba would be the easy

goomba would be the easy turds you stomp on in the early stages of any super mario bros. (which anyone has played), I tend to use it in this context. "hey you goomba, where is the money?" see =D. As for NRd it was a shortened version of nerd in the cod series. It is long past now, but I still use it regardless.

ahha well its been a pleasure
