Well it's been 14 blogs now, and it's now time to talk about yet another one of my favorite events... MLG! WOOP WOOP!
This past Friday, marked the second stop for Major League Gaming in the 2009 Pro Circuit, as the top teams in North America gathered in Columbus, Ohio for the biggest eSports venue (Bold words eh?) in the United-States. The weekend got off to a great start, and by the end of Saturday night I was still scratching my head over just how World of Warcraft 3v3 is played, and how Snipedown from Str8 Rippin could flick on two joysticks and not a mouse... It was rather unfortunate that I couldn't watch the full Championship Sunday today due to work, but after watching the re-airing of the cast I was able to catchup on what I missed, and I'm glad I was able to watch the finals. Throughout the weekend I kept hearing that this was the best weekend of Halo that the broadcasting crew had ever seen, and I have to admit that even though I was live and in person at the Meadowlands some 2 months ago, I would completely agree that this weekend had provided some of the best Halo 3 that I've seen in the past 2 seasons. I didn't catch much of the GoW2 action, but I heard that some of the games we're really good, and I'm glad to see that Halo 3 has a solid counterpart this year on the circuit. Also, while watching the WoW stream for a good 5 hours and not knowing what was going on but a bunch of hp bars going up and down (which reminded me of pokemon on game boy), I decided to just treat the game as that. It's a good version of pokemon with wizards and assgoblins instead of mudkips and dugtrios (LoL).
Anyways, it was a pretty fun weekend watching with what little time I had on Saturday and Sunday, and I can't wait for MLG Dallas at the end of the summer! L8z Goombas
