Soooooooooo, I took a week off (how depressing). Hopefully you all missed me, but with finals and graduation taking place for me this week, I really didnt have much of a choice with my limited amount of time.
I'm not sure what to talk about since it was such a busy week outside of eSports for me, but I'll see what I can do hehe.
Yesterday afternoon, our former 1.6 team and now currently Complexity's CS squad announced the departure of David "savi0r" Park for Scott "evolution" Cavallero. With Scott moving into the "coL House" with the rest of the team, I personally feel that there is now another good addition to the already stellar squad. With Scott's international experience with EG (along with NineSpot), there should be already a bit of chemistry, and with the addition of a new impact awper, we could finally see North American 1.6 come back to the pinnacle of the world once again.
Of course I'm going to take some time and talk about some console action, and if there was one piece of news last week that took all the followers of Major League Gaming by surprise would have to be the announcement of the new Carbon lineup. I was surprised to see Anarchy dropped earlier in the week, and then I was even more surprised to find out later on that Ghostayame moved over to Instinct for the fan favorite of the circuit, Walshy. It really took me back to see a player break out of such a lucrative contract with Old Spice (AHOY!), to take a gamble on a new roster. To round things out they announced the aquisition of StrongSide to the Carbon roster. After seeing the dedication to the Status Quo lineup, I thought for sure that StrongSide would be a member of SQ for the full 2009 season. Yet how often do you get to team with Walshy yet again? I can't blame him on that, and it's going to be a great event at the end of summer in Dallas, Texas.
To wrap things up, I have to give a big shoutout to djWHEAT and the rest of the lo3 gang for their great coverage of Devastation 2009. Although I wish they had access to do coverage for Evolution 2009, this has been a very entertaining weekend, and reminded me of just how much Epileptic Gaming I used to watch (I MISS RANCE =[ ). Anywho, it's been very entertaining to watch, and I can't thank them enough for giving fighting games the platform they deserve.

I don't know how I feel about
I don't know how I feel about the addition of evolution. He is definetely a really good player, but consistancy plays a large role in the success of a CS team. At some point you need to cut your losses if you dont feel like things were going right, but this may have been too soon.
