Alrighty, after god awful internet at the Samsung Experience and a third try at writing this, I'm going to hope that my battery doesn't die in the midst of writing this edition of the 501 in NYC.ed

The day started off this morning at 410 am with a nice Triple S (if you know what I mean). After doing my thing in the bathroom I grabbed some breakfast, and proceeded to take a can of monster (regular ftw) to pickup my friend and teammate in the neighborhood over. After picking up him, we made the 50 minute drive from his home to the train station, and began a craptastic train ride on the stainless steel heap that is the NJ Transit. To start the morning before we got on the train I decided to bum some internet at the inital station, and show my unaware friends the frag movie of Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert to show what we were up against since we were probably going to be the 20th seed. After taking the 2 hour train ride into the city, we hitched a cab and arrived at the Time Warner center at 8am sharp (just like the confirmation email). But as always things changed and only coL and EG seemed to know that check in time was switched to 930 instead of the original 815. Well after doing the morning check of gotfrag, complexity's site, and our own x3o-gaming.com, our recently acquired fifth MuRRaY came along with Rebound. With the entire "noXious" crew waiting patiently outside of the building at the nearby cafe, we saw the doors open and checked in. We were the first match, and although my 3k in the 7th round of t-side tuscan won us the only round, I thought we played well for the first time at a major LAN, and with my friend Brandon's first time not actually playing on his own PC. In comparison to the other teams who took quite a long amount of time, we were all ready to go within 5 mins and although v-sync was a pain, we got that taken care of. Anywho, this next part I'd like to call "waiting"...

So we finished the first match at 10am, and now we waited for our lower bracket match only to find out 4 hours later that we received a bye. So now that we're 1-1, we were excited for the next match on d2, and we felt that with a more familiar map we'd maybe get 2 rounds instead of just 1. Well this wasn't the case, and we lost once again 16-1. The highlight of the match was my 1v3 clutch knife round although it didn't make much of a difference. EIther way, the day was over, and although things were extremely boring for the 7 hour wait, I still enjoyed playing a game that in all honesty makes me very very frustrated when attempting to play hehe. Well, this is a pretty long one, and I hope you guys enjoy it. I'll see if a cotw is in the future for my few frags I got in the matches, maybe I'll shoot a pm to dchozn or someone later this week and get it on the site for you guys.
