So guys and gals, it's been a good 3-4 months now since I've last blogged, and I figure it's time I get back to giving you guys a piece of my mind once and a while... So first things first lets chat about x3o.

Obviously things have slowed down quite a bit since the last time I put up a blog, but we're still hanging around the scene thanks to our Counter Strike: Source team (Congrats on the 1st place finish this season!). They've really enjoyed their stay at x3o thus far, and are practicing as always to take the CEVO title this season, as well as repeating as ESEA Invite Champions. In addition I've been receiving a lot of questions in IRC in regards to when we're going to announce the opening of the new gaming center. Hopefully either myself, Nick, or Colin (lectR) will be able to get some pictures of where we hope the new facility will be, but for now I encourage you guys to visit the Washingtonian Center homepage. In addition to the messages about the new LAN facility, I'm sure I speak for Nick and Colin that the announcement of a new team here at x3o has been the other main question we've all been receiving. Now I can't speak on behalf of management on this one, but I'm sure we're weighing our options to see what exactly could benefit us long-term, and I'm sure we'll have some news on the way in regards to that.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me toss a softball of a question out here that you guys can post on in the comment section below. Which one do you think is going to be the more exciting game? Left 4 Dead 2 or CoD:Modern Warfare 2?

I have played the demo for L4D2 2 times now through expert, and I enjoy the new weapons, and new zombies, but I feel that the game's movement has slowed down a bit, and the pushing of zombies seems a lot less weaker than the original, which leads to sometimes an overwhelming amount of zombies that you just can't do anything about... Either way, I enjoyed the demo a whole lot, and will be purchasing the full game when it comes out.

CoD:MW2 (CoD6?) has been pretty interesting for me thus far. I didn't make my purchase in favor of the PC side this time around, so I'll be playing it on the XBOX 360, and the adjustment has been pretty easy thus far. It's like any console game really, it just takes some getting used to, and then you really start gaining the feel and flow of the game. Like L4D2, MW2 is very similar to predecessor but has tweaked a bit of physics here and there, and provides another great console fps to the 360. On the PC side of things, word from Cadred.org has the possibility of CTF or a multi-gametype setting instead of the normal search and destroy. I personally feel this would refresh not just the Call of Duty franchise, but team-based fps in general. We'll see what happens with that though, but I think it's an option that PC gamers should give a chance for league play.

I also want to start posting up a video that I've been watching all week on youtube that just cracks me up to the point where I'm addicted.
