NickFitz, I hope this
NickFitz, I hope this tournament is being rescheduled in some way. I noticed that this event didn't seem to get a lot of attention, but there would definitely be a large amount of smash players from the area attending.
I noticed you made a thread on smashboards.com to promote the tournament, but it did not get much response. The only reason I could see why that happened was simply because the thread was posted in the Atlantic North sub-forum which is geared towards small get-togethers and regional player discussions. If the event was advertised in the tournament discussion sub-forum, i'm certain that it would've got a lot of feedback.
I'm just assuming that you guys canceled the tournament due to lack of interest or something along those lines, but you were right in thinking that this event could bring in 40-60 people.
If you guys do plan for this tournament again, I would be glad to help spread the word. Cyberconxion and Nod3 recently stopped hosting smash tournaments (CCX is closed/renovating) and has left a pretty big need for smash tournaments in MD/VA.
If you have any questions etc, I'd be glad to help. My email is vist.stiezo1@gmail.com.
Vist, Thanks for taking the
Vist,
Thanks for taking the time to come on the site and show an interest for the event. The main reasons why we canceled/post-poned this particular event was due to a lack of pre-event interest, AND that we were able to secure better hardware sponsors for later in the year.
We only want to host great tournaments, and won't settle for less. Your help would be greatly appreciated for promoting the event to the community, and I will contact you directly with the details and ideas for an upcoming event in early 2007.
Thanks again.
