As a lot of you may know Team x3o attended the Lethal Gamers Winter 06 Boot Camp and Tournament this past week. I personally did not attend the event with them, however am here now at CPL. Though their performance was not amazing, I was definitely satisfied and feel that the event was worth it as a whole. As you can see on our event information page here, they got a lot of scrims in against some of the better known teams, which is really what they went down for. They ended up placing 5th at the LG tournament, beating high quality teams like M19 and ATHF (Pug), however ending up loosing to Hoorai. For teams that are looking for a good chance to warm up and prepare for the CPL, there is no better place then the LG Boot Camp.

The team arrived at the Hyatt Regency, Dallas, TX hotel late Friday night. They checked into their rooms and took a chance to relax from their previous week of practice. I arrived with Jesse “wb” Dedmon, organizer of DC-LAN, early this morning. The flight was actually really quick and picking up our luggage was a breeze. If your options for getting to the Hyatt hotel are Taxi / Shuttle – I definitely recommend the shuttle. It got us to the hotel in about 20 minutes, and was 17.00 per person. After checking up with the team, we took a quick run through of the CPL event itself.

Though definitely smaller then summer events, the CPL Winter 06 event was laid out very nicely. As you will see through our various pictures posted this weekend, there are a ton of sponsor exhibition booths and mini games that spectators can try out. Today was mostly for rolling registration and getting your Team BYOC area set up; but Team x3o was able to get some practice time it. Our match time for state 1 is 5:00PM CST, tomorrow with a group including: Hoorai, x3o, Acid Reign, BYE. Right now the Team is un-winding/sleeping in their rooms on the 5th floor, while I am in a suite with a bunch of other sponsors. Nation Voice (www.nationvoice.com) was gracious enough to invite me to stay with them for the weekend. I will be taking a ton of pictures tomorrow for our gallery, and will be updating the scores and scrims as they become available.
