F.A.Q. about the X3O 2009 Counter-Strike 1.6 National Rankings
- Why have the ranking system?
This 2009 X3O CSNR was created to provide a regularly updated ranking system for North American Counter-Strike 1.6 teams. Ranking systems help foster competition and provide a gauge for the consistency and performance ability of a team. The X3O National Gaming Ranking system is used by X3O Gaming Centers to help seed future gaming tournaments, as well as a metrics for X3O sponsors to gauge the consistency of participants in their events.
- How the ranking system works?
All teams that compete in an recognized professional gaming event can be awarded points in the X3O Gaming National Ranking system. Points are awarded to a team for their final placing in an event.
- Can I reference the 2009 X3O CSNR?
Players and teams are welcome to reference this ranking system in their marketing proposals and on their websites. Please reference this page by providing a direct link.
- How can my event be recognized by the 2009 X3O CSNR?
We try our best to include as many events that meet our criteria as possible. If your event is not included, you are welcome to submit information about it through our contact page.

wow that graphic looks pretty
wow that graphic looks pretty cool...nice rankings though, seem pretty accurate
no eg or mob on their?
nice rankings! why wasnt
nice rankings! why wasnt Kode5 qualifier on thier?
Although I'm no involved in
Although I'm no involved in the formation of these rankings I can tell you that it was because the LG KODE5 USA Qualifier did not have "at least $1500.00 in cash prizes" to be categorized under a Tier 1 event.
Ok - confire is partially
Ok - confire is partially correct. There were two main reasons why the Kode 5 USA Qualifier was not included in the X3O CSNR:
1) To my knowledge the main prize for this event was travel accomodations to the national finals. It did not meet the cash purse criteria.
2) When acknowledging NEW events into the system, we generally look at the level of competition in at the event. For local lans with exactly $1500 cash or less, they need to have at least 2 of the teams currently ranked in our top 10 attending to be considered. While EG.usa does qualify, there was no other real team competition at the event. This is also the reason that the Computer Arena LAN that is taking place this weekend will not be included.
Hope that helps.

even though not a lot of good
even though not a lot of good teams went - i still think the kode5 qualifier COULD have been included.. it doesn't make too much of a difference =/
oh, and a lot of those kids on the ALL TEAMS page are online as f*ck! :~P
nice rankings but where is
nice rankings but where is EG.usa?
read the post AragorN.. this
read the post AragorN.. this isnt opinion based, its points for events. the only two events covered are esea season 1 and the x3o tournament. eg.usa didnt attend either one. they will get points for the kode5 usa final but the one good thing about these rankings is that u cant just win won event and be #1 - u have to actually attend tournaments and do well consistantly. these are perfect but i havent seen any better ones in a while.
good rankings, keep it up
