X3O Counter-Strike 1.6 North American Rankings Criteria
- Why have the ranking system:
Ranking systems are great among any sport. They help foster competition and provide a gauge for the consistency and performance ability of a team. The X3O National Gaming Ranking system is used by X3O Gaming Centers to help seed future gaming tournaments, as well as a metrics for X3O sponsors to gauge the consistency of participants in their events.
- How the ranking system works:
All teams that compete in an approved professional gaming event will be ranked in the X3O Gaming National Ranking system. Points are awarded to a team for their final placing in an event.
Basic Event Ranking Criteria
For an event to be considered to be ranked, they must meet the following minimum criteria:
-Tier 1 Event: At least 16 teams competing, with at least $1500.00 in cash prizes being awarded. Points awarded will be as follows: 1st 400, 2nd 275, 3rd 150, 4th 100, 5/6th 75, 7/8th 50, 9th-16th 10 Points.
-Tier 2 Event: More than 24 but less than 33 teams competing, with at least $1501.00-$5000.00 in cash prizes being awarded. Points awarded will be as follows: 1st 600, 2nd 475, 3rd 350, 4th 200, 5/6th 150, 7th/8th 100, 9th-16th 50, 17th-32nd 10 Points.
-Tier 3 Event: More than 32 teams competing with more than $5,000.00 in cash prizes being awarded. Points awarded will be as follows: 1st 800, 2nd 575, 3rd 450, 4th 300, 5th/6th 250, 7th/8th 200, 9th-16th 150, 17th-32nd 100, 33rd-64th 10 Points.
