: X3O.CSS falls to Vitriolic after a really tough series, 2 maps to 0!

Well here we go! It's finally the end of CEVO Professional Season 8, and there is no better way to do so then have the #1 team going up against the #2 team in what is sure to be an instant classic for Counter-Strike Source's history. Number one seeded Vitriolic looks to carry their success against X3O.CSS from the past, to the present, and statistics show that this would be the truth. UPDATE: X3O.CSS wins, defeating Team Dynamic in two maps, 16-12 and 16-15! X3O.CSS will go on to play Vitriolic in the CEVO-Professional Grand Finals, scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 2nd at 9:30pm ET / 8:30pm CT / 6:30pm PT. The lower bracket final of CEVO Professional Season 8 features Team Dynamic, who has battled quite resiliently through the lower bracket by eliminating both Eximius Sports, and Stormakt in convincing fashion. They've really turned a lot of heads this postseason coming in as the 4th seed, and now making it into the top 3 and guaranteeing themselves some type of cash. UPDATE: Team X3O takes a forfeit win from Eximius Sports.

As we enter CEVO playoffs, we also arrive at the seventh week of ESEA where they host the map, de_contra. This map, being new to this season, can hold many surprises for spectators tonight. The team will be able to get their opportunity for revenge as they face Eximius Sports once again. The last time these two met, it was purely devastating (no pun intended) for Team X3O. The team was kicked around by MindScape’s new lineup which consists of three new additions to the team - Dan "railm0" Locilento, Todd "anger" Williams, and Zak "kurridGe" Taylor. : X3O.CSS wins, defeating Push Gaming in a hard faught victory, 16-10!

The match tonight will be on Push Gaming’s home turf. Push Gaming can be considered out of both CEVO and ESEA playoffs. As though it is very unfortunate for them, it will just make this match that much special to see these two teams face off. Austin “forever0” Kulig-Kort has and will always be entertaining to watch as he continues to carry his team. As for Team Team X3O, pretty much any player on that team is always exciting to watch. It seems that every one of them is able to clutch and take the round with some spectacular awp shots.

The upper bracket final of CEVO Professional Season 8's Playoffs, pits our very own X3O.CSS against the #1 seeded Vitriolic in a best of three series. With the recent announcement of Vitriolic sending their new North American CS:S squad overseas for the upcoming i38 LAN, this next match will be their biggest test thus far. After losing only one match all season, Vitriolic came up against the team that gave them that one loss in the regular season, Team Dynamic.
