Complexity

The Reigning CEVO Champions starts off the new season with a match against the CGS team and a world class champion LA Complexity.

There has been a ton of discussion about Complexity’s recent decision of playing both Counter Strike Source and Counter Strike 1.6. They have been very dominant in both games, winning the Individual Game Championships in CGS Season 1. Even before that, they had a great year in 2006, winning a huge amount of events. They were considered the number one team in North America, and some even believed they were the number one team around the world. Unfortunately, they decided to switch to Source due to the announcement of the CGS. Now they are back in action with 1.6 as they compete in the WCG qualifiers and CEVO-Pro Season 9. They did have a rocky start, however, having some trouble against Make Shift Gaming, a CEVO-Main team. Nevertheless, they still came out on top winning the WCG South qualifier and moving on to the Regional Qualifiers. However, this time they will be playing against one of the top teams in America, if not the top team.

X3O has been ranked by Gotfrag as the number two team in North America. However, they seem to do much better online than on LAN, which can be boldly concluded that they are the number one team online. With that being said, Complexity will have a lot of work ahead with X3O and vice versa. Complexity is no longer the powerhouse of 1.6 anymore, having some new teams taking the stand. Is Complexity able to compete with top tier teams of 1.6 still? Or will X3O put them in place and show the community who has taken the throne in the absence of Complexity?
