UPDATE 2: x3o finishes 7-8th after falling 7-16 to POV in the Lower Bracket Round 1.
UPDATE: x3o finishes second in Group A behind fnatic and will face off against SK in the first round of the 8 team double elimination bracket.
The ESL has come out big this year hosting more Counter-Strike 1.6 events than ever before. This weekend is the first of many Extreme Masters III Global Challenges that take place around the world featuring thousands in cash prizes plus seats that the world finals. Teams from around the world have gathered here in sunny Los Angeles, California to take a shot at the $25,000 cash purse. Read on for coverage and updates on Team x3o’s performance at the event.

Some of the world's best will be competing in this event including: X3O, Frag Dominant, Guardians, Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, Revolution Sports, SK Gaming, vio, Paragon of Virtue, Roccat, mTw, MoB Gaming, MugNMouse, Made in Brazil and Meet your Makers.
Team X3O is in Group A of the ESL Extreme Masters III Global Challange LA, which includes: Guardians, Frag Dominant and Fnatic. Each team will play each other once, with the top 2 teams advancing to an 8 team double elimination bracket round.
