please have a gears one x3o, it needs to be done it is a huge event and you can see how much attention gears has attracted to many sites such as MLG, UGS, Etc.

Also, alot of people dont like to register so this tourney is a little baised towards x3o members..none of which are gears players :(

Well to register on the site takes maybe 1 minute or so - and having 1 successful GoW tournament will lead to an entire season in 2008 of GoW tournaments. Taking the short time to register and make it happen shouldn't be too hard.

P.S. A lot of people that voted today are new members that registered to vote for 1.6 =/

well CS had a lot of success the last time y not again? However, I am picking CS:S now just becuz x3o is playin source and they will need practice for the cpl anyways I hope either CS or CSS will be the game for the tournament. I will be able to spectate those matches easier.

Gears is rapidly growing and this would only help gears AND x3o's publicity...cs will attract the same people repetetively but gears will attract new people to your business and site and will increase the size as a whole much more than cs ever can

there is no diffrence in gears or cs being a sport u sit infront of a screen playing a video game ur the only 1 that claims to not care....CS has been out for how long? i still don't see it show up anywhere or tv or aat least as much as i see gears especially with gears only being out since 06...be real u can't knock gears...its apart of mlg,ugs and wcg...enuff said

Please check the votes to make sure there all valid and not from the same person because getting that many votes in that little time is very hard to believe.

Honestly, hosting a CS tournament would be the worst decision anyone at x3o could make, not trying to sound crude but it’s the only way I can get my point across…

Sure, hosting a CS tournament MIGHT get a good turnout, but nothing would change..it would be the same x3o with nothing new or exciting, despite the LAN center itself..

But if you hosting a GOW tournament you would get a GREAT turnout with new members to the community and a substantial profit..So if you at x3o are looking for ways to expand your company and increase your sales, don’t host a CS tournament. That will accomplish nothing.

GoW was voted game of the year, the fastest growing game, and the most fun game to watch. Cs hasn’t won jack compared to those awards. Now in a LAN center, isn’t the objective to play a GREAT, fast growing game? That has GoW written ALL over it. And also, for people who aren’t playing at that particular moment, they can watch, and the most fun game to watch would be gears, with the change in momentum, the crazy headshots, or the all around gameplay…anything is possible.

CS is one of the oldest games and despite whether people want to admit it, it is dying slowly…I know, I played cal-m/p for a couple years…the fact is, CS is dying, and GoW is entering its climax…it only makes sense to play GoW.

Please x3o, use your heads and make the right decision.

steve, i took the liberty of advertising for the 1.6 community and having people register & vote for 1.6. so no, it's not unbelievable especially with how big the cs1.6 community is.

and even if cs1.6 is dying, it still has 10x the following that GoW does.

i was better than probably most of you in pc gaming and was way more sucessful in other games than any of you will be.

During the WCG US Finals in Orlando I had the chance to watch the finals of the Gears of War tournament. I personally felt it was by far the most entertaining event showcased at the venue. Although it was a little difficult at first to understand the gameplay and terms, I got the hang of it towards the end. A Gears of War tournament at X3O would be awesome but I know any Counter-Strike tournament would be as well. X3O should just host both ;P If only I were any good at console games.........

if GoW could compete with CS 1.6 in terms of how developed the community is, the votes wouldn't look this way. noone cheated, we just spread the word as i'm sure you did with your GoW friends and teammates. and it's not the one extra person that makes counter-strike more competitive, it's the amount of teams and players that have put so much time into making the community at the top tier what it is. im not trying to take away from you guys, just trying to add onto what's available for us :)

or x3o is a pc gaming lan center and not console so there is already tons of cs members and no gow members...people are lazy now a days, nothing I can do about it yet hope x3o makes the right decision.

And ninespot, I agree it is THE most entertaining game to watch, and x3o hosting both would be beneficial to both games but not even close to how beneficial it would be to x3o....

Ouch, can't believe how immature the GoW community is. Glad CS 1.6 will be the game played. Looking forward to another tourney, Nick did a great job with the first one.
