Rockville, MD, Sunday, April 15th, 2007: X3O Professional Gaming is proud to announce David “icel0re” Ritson as the official Quake 4 representation for Team x3o in the upcoming 2007 competitive gaming season. Ritson will be attending the June WarFactory event, as well as all three WSVG U.S. stops this year.

With the recent announcement of Quake 4 as a major competitive title for the World Series of Video Games 2007, X3O has been looking recruit a top U.S. player with the ability to grow and the passion to win. Ritson has both of the attributes and more, and is looking to make a strong impact the global Quake 4 scene this year.

Previously on devastation, Ritson had this to say about leaving dev and joining x3o, “The decision to leave devastation was one I had to think about a few times. They are a great organization who's shown me support since taking me in, but I felt the opportunities that lie within x3o at this time are greater, and make more sense to me as a quake player.”

When asked about where Ritson saw Quake 4 going, he said “Quake 4 this year, I think presents itself with limitless boundaries. Having just been announced, the door is now open for almost anything! As much as i love to play, I’m also a huge fan and I think quake this year will really be taking off! As far as the future, we'll have to wait and see. This summer’s LAN schedule holds a lot of promise, from there, I think the sky’s the limit.”

Ritson will be competing in a Quake 4 Online Invitational Free-For-All Tournament this evening at 8:45PM EST hosted by GGL.com.
